The Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024, held from September 23 to 25 in Orlando, Florida, was an exhilarating event that brought together industry leaders, innovators, and security professionals. With a focus on pivotal developments in security—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), organizational resilience, and risk management—this year’s conference was certainly one to remember. A thriving presence at GSX 2024
Our booth was a focal point of the event, strategically positioned front and center. On the first day alone, over 2,000 attendees flocked to the booth to learn about our latest innovations in security, advanced client services, and sustainability initiatives. We proudly supported K9s United, raising awareness for these exceptional law enforcement K9s. Guests had the opportunity to meet and engage with some of the K9 heroes.
Attendees were treated to engaging live demonstrations of SecureStat HQ, our risk intelligence solutions, as well as a presentation that showcased our comprehensive guarding services, including on-site, mobile, and remote guarding solutions that seamlessly integrate physical presence with technology.
Our commitment to sustainability, global capabilities, and unmatched flexibility, as well as features like the MySecuritas client portal and our dedicated client service center were some of the many topics of discussion at our booth. These conversations emphasized our extensive protective services portfolio, and our innovative, tailored solutions designed to help meet our client’s current needs and anticipate their future requirements.
Insightful Education Sessions
Securitas was well-represented at this year’s GSX, with thought leaders Antonia Elliott (VP of Talent Development) and Mike Evans (Director of Risk Intelligence Center) taking the stage on Tuesday, September 25.
Antonia Elliott delivered an inspiring session on “Breaking barriers to security careers,” focusing on how organizations can tackle career progression obstacles for security roles. She highlighted strategies for effective onboarding, upskilling, and leveraging technology to help empower security professionals at all levels. This session also featured a panel discussion with industry leaders, including Silvia Portillo (Area VP), Misty Savage (VP of Training & Development), and Tommy Zarna (VP of Client Solutions), offering further insights on career development in the security field.
Mike Evans presented “Building intelligence-led security: how to integrate risk intelligence across your organization.” His insights underscored the importance of risk intelligence in helping to provide organizational resilience and drive success.
VIP client event: a night to remember
Our VIP client event was a resounding success, attracting over 1,000 clients for a casino night filled with games, delicious food, and fantastic prizes. This unforgettable evening, held after the first day of GSX, provided an excellent opportunity to network and build stronger relationships with our clients.

Texas Night kicked off the conference with delicious food and drinks, fostering connections among attendees from around the globe.
The Women in Security Gala empowered and celebrated women in the industry. It raised funds to combat child trafficking through education and prevention initiatives. Attendees participated in raffle drawings and silent auctions to support this important cause.
The Outstanding Security Professionals Awards (OSPAs) recognize the dedication of individuals and teams delivering exceptional security services. Securitas USA was proud to be nominated for the Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) category, and four of our very own were nominated for the Outstanding Security Officer category.
Canada Night provided a festive atmosphere for networking and enjoying the cuisine, allowing attendees to connect with peers and industry leaders nationwide.
