Celebrated for over 100 years, International Women's Day addresses the ongoing challenges that women face in advancing across all industries. This observance, which originated in 1911, belongs to everyone who advocates for women's equality and empowerment.
The series will feature two distinguished industry leaders every Tuesday, showcasing their leadership, resilience, and innovation. In partnership with our counterparts at Securitas Group, we will conclude the series by highlighting women from the global Securitas network, celebrating their contributions and achievements.
Together, we can work toward a world free from bias and discrimination. By fostering an environment that values and celebrates equal treatment in the workplace, we can collectively take action towards equality for all employees. Inspiring Excellence: Meet the Women of Securitas USA
Tanji Fountain
Position: Solutions Enablement Manager
Years at Securitas USA: 4 years 8 months
Tanji Fountain, recently honored as a 2024 Melker Schörling Scholarship recipient, reflects on her accomplished Securitas USA career with pride. Being the first African American to receive this prestigious award, she sees her achievement as a powerful example for other minorities. Her journey began in July 2020, during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, as a Securitas Technology Solution Support Specialist (TSSS) for the South region. This foundational role proved crucial, providing her with in-depth knowledge of Securitas' solutions and services, and enabling her to effectively serve clients through proposal audits and collaboration with solutions engineers. Currently, she excels as the Solutions Enablement Manager at the Securitas Operations Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she focuses on facilitating technology-driven solution sales for clients across the US and Canada.
Una Raghavan
Position: VP Total Rewards
Years at Securitas USA: 1 year 2 months
Una Raghavan is the Vice President of Total Rewards at Securitas North America, where she leads strategic initiatives in benefits, compensation, and recognition to foster employee engagement and organizational success. With extensive experience across multiple industries, Una is known for designing holistic rewards programs that support employee growth and align with company goals. Her prior roles as a senior leader in Total Rewards and as a consulting actuary have given her a unique perspective on employee needs and leadership. Una’s strategic insights and collaborative approach play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive work environment at Securitas.

Silvia Portillo
Position: Area Vice President
Years at Securitas USA: Been with the company since 1999
Silvia Portillo began her career in security in 1999 as a Security Officer, where she quickly found her passion for the industry. Balancing her work with continued education, she earned a B.A. in Psychology and committed to advancing within Securitas. Currently, she serves as the Area Vice President for the Los Angeles office, one of the largest in the U.S., overseeing over 1,700 Security Officers. Silvia is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Chiefs Special Agent Association, BOMA, and ASIS, and has served as the Chiefs Special Agents Association president for three years.
Laura Rose
Position: VP Commercial Strategy
Years at Securitas USA: 1 year 7 months
Laura Rose is the Division Vice President of Commercial Strategy at Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., with over 15 years of experience in the security and technology industries. She plays a critical role in the shaping and executing of the company’s go-to-market approach, driving revenue growth, and enhancing competitive positioning. Laura leads the marketing and sales functions at division, and is known for fostering a collaborative work environment where innovation and creativity thrive. A true role model in the male-dominated security industry, her leadership style combines strategic vision with a dedication to empowering her team and driving tangible business outcomes. Laura's positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to inspire others continue to make her a key figure in both her industry and her organization.
Helena Andreas
Position: CHRO and CMO Group, Marketing & Communications
Years at Securitas Group: 6 years 2 months
Helena Andreas has been with Securitas since February 2019, serving as Senior Vice President of Group Brand and Communications. With a career that spans leadership roles at Nordea, Vodafone, Tesco, and Accenture, Helena brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her background includes a master's degree in engineering physics from Lund University and an MBA from INSEAD, France/Singapore.
Helena's journey into the security industry was shaped by her desire to help contribute to the human need for safety and security, which she finds deeply inspiring. At Securitas, she is committed to the company's values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness, aiming to position it as a world leader in security solutions, technology, and expertise. Her vision is to make Securitas synonymous with safety across all dimensions—physical, mental, environmental, and digital.
Misty Savage
Position: VP Training & Development GCA
Years at Securitas USA: Been at Securitas USA since 2002
Misty Savage is the Vice President of Training & Development for the Global Clients Americas division at Securitas, where she leads the planning and delivery of staff training programs tailored to specific clients and markets. Since joining Securitas as a Security Officer in 2002, Misty has ascended through various roles, including Human Resources Manager and District Manager, where she notably tripled annual sales revenue and led her branch to five consecutive years of growth.
Misty is a recognized leader in the industry, holding the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation and actively contributing to ASIS, where she has served in leadership roles, including Vice-Chair of the Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming Chapter and Woman in Security Liaison.
Antonia Elliott
Position: VP Talent Development
Years at Securitas: 3 years 9 months Securitas USA
Antonia Elliott is the Vice President of Talent Development at Securitas, where she is leading efforts to create a strong leadership culture across the organization. She is responsible for designing and executing talent strategies that attract and retain top talent while aligning business goals with learning opportunities. Antonia is passionate about self-awareness and empathy as key traits of effective leadership and encourages aspiring leaders to step outside their comfort zones for growth. With a background in hospitality, Antonia found her calling in the security industry, drawn to its purpose and focus on delivering exceptional service. Tammy Wood
Position: VP of National Sales
Years at Securitas: 16 years
Tammy Wood, Vice President of National Sales at Securitas USA, has been with the company for 16 years, building a remarkable career that has seen her grow from Branch Manager to National Account Manager, and now to her current leadership role. Throughout her tenure, Tammy has demonstrated a results-oriented approach, earning recognition as one of the top leaders in the security industry by being named to the SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 in 2024. A seasoned business leader, Tammy has a proven track record in driving revenue growth, managing P&L responsibilities, overseeing project management, and fostering leadership development. She excels in translating corporate vision into actionable plans, identifying and solving operational challenges, and recognizing opportunities for organizational cost savings. Her leadership has been instrumental in building and leading high-performing teams, streamlining processes, and enhancing client experiences.
